AirTwist

The Gilbos Air Twist creates special twist-effects, and gives alternate S/Z-twist to two or more BCF and/or CF yarns at very high speeds.

The AirTwist process enhances wear resistance of the carpet, and results in more color separation when using multiple colors.

The AirTwist modules can be combined with DynaJet for even more versatility and styling capabilities.
Retrofit to existing DynaJet machines is an option as well.

Unique advantages

Twist-effects at the lowest cost/pound

The yarns are twisted by means of precisely controlled airflows.
Only the yarns rotate, there are no mechanical “spindles”.
The yarns rotate around their own axis; there is no energy-consuming balloon.

Therefore, process speeds are far higher than with conventional processes.

On top of that, the yarn is wound to pre-set lengths on tubes that are ready for tufting or weaving.

Wear resistance and color separation

For each TPI in the ply (e.g. 3S), there is approximately half a TPI reverse twist in the supply yarns (in the example 1.5Z).

In case of loop-pile, this results in an improved wear resistance, and a higher color separation.

Flexible

The relevant process parameters are easily set by means of a user friendly interface.
Recipes are stored and can later be retrieved with the press on the button, per spindle if required.
